Goodness gracious me.  It's been a long time.  Surprise surprise :)

General update about my life:

1. I am student teaching 4th graders in Libertyville.  It is so very busy, but I love it so much.  I am so blessed to be with an amazing teacher that I work with and with a wonderful bunch of 21 9 year olds.  Getting up each day is fun!  Imagine that!

2. I am living at home for awhile and I miss my friends from school so much.  A lot of them are abroad or are still campus, or working their tails off at real jobs.  This real world thing is quite an adjustment.

3. I love Jesus.  He takes care of me each day.  It's the little things like me having to make a lot of copies (and there's always a HUGE line at the copier) and I get there and there is no line.  And, as soon as I am finishing up, a line forms behind me.  I was thankful for that.  Among a lot of other things.  Ask if you wish!

4. I am trying to get more involved at my church.  It's hard to with all of my school stuff, but I try to make it work!

Well that was the short of it.  Comment if you want, otherwise you can IM me, stalk me on facebook or myspace.  HAHA

Dear readers,

I am updating (thanks for inspiring me Debbie!) for the first time in a while (surprise, surprise!)

Highlights since spring break:

Finishing COLLEGE!  YES! I GRADUATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This year was amazing.  I had an amazing small group of girls (Molly, Minda, Karen, Jaymie, and Melissa - I love you all more than words can say!) and God just worked in several ways through that group, I got to lead worship with the Vine, I made some wonderful new friends, my grades were better than they'd ever been, and I've had some of the best times of my life.  Senior year was hands down the best year EVER :)  Yay :)

So whats next for me?  Well this summer I'm working again at LTD Commodities doing data entry stuff and doing babysitting one day a week for a great family, and then starting August 28 I'll be student teaching 4th grade.  I'm excited about that.  I'm going to get more involved at the Vineyard and continue adjusting to not being a college student anymore, and I'm also redecorating my room!  I painted it today actually a beautiful shade of blue, and I got some new IKEA furniture as my graduation present.

God is good and I know that although this time in my life is wierd and transitional, he's growing me and making me learn more about him and who I am in him.  He's amazing I tell you.

Debbie - I hope this was good enough :)  I'm kinda losing my xanga "mojo" - so it's just an excuse for the two of us to chat more, what do ya think?  Did you ever hear back from the PA school? I suppose I could just leave you this on your IM but getting a personalized space in a xanga entry is much much more fun!!  Love ya!

Love to all! ~Becky

I'm in the library on a Saturday morning working on a paper.  Everyone went home for Easter basically, and I'm on duty so I have to be here.  Gosh, that sounded depressing!  I'm not depressed, not to worry :)

4 weeks from today I will be a college graduate.  SCARY.

Hmmm, well since my last update --

Spring break was soooo much fun!  Fond memories spending rediculous amounts of time in the car with my twin, being coloniel in Williamsburg and getting to go on a college tour of William and Mary by pretending I was a senior in high school, Washington DC and meeting a retired senator who took us underground to the secret senator tram that takes you all around the city, and going on a hike in PA!  It was a great time and I'm so thankful we were able to get away!

Ummm...now I'm just finishing up the year with the normal school stuff, and I'm taking my friends blatting next week!  They're pumped, and apparently one of them knows what blatting is - she lives in MN near Bethel, and I'm assuming that she knows someone that Amanda took.  It was random.  Anyway..........

Well summer is fast approaching and I'll have a LOT of time on my hands, and I'm hoping to see ya'll!  :)

Until later,

~Becky

Hello!!  I had a dream last night that I was on Xanga and people were talking about what I had written during dinner.  I figured (I figure!) that I was destined to write - haha.

This week has been crazy with everything that I had to do and the tests and papers I had to study for and finish, but I just have one more exam this afternoon and I'm ready for it - it's for my astronomy class that I'm in with my small group girls.  Fun fun!

And, spring break starts tonight officially at 3:30!!!  Moriah and I are so stoked for our road trip to Williamsburg, VA, Washington DC, and York Springs, PA.  Interesting places to go for a trip, yes, but it's okay.  We're going to leave on Sunday morning and stop about halfway to VA for the night, and then we'll spend Monday and Tuesday in Williamsburg and stay in this cute hotel.  Wednesday and Thursday we'll hang out in DC and our friend Andrew might come down to explore with us on Thurdsay, but then on Thursday night we're going to Andrew's house to stay for Thurdsay and Friday.  On Friday we're going to explore the the middle of nowhere-ness Pennsylvania and go to Hershey and Amish Country.  Yes, this is defintley going to be the most interesting trip ever :)  We'll leave PA on Saturday and get home on Saturday night.  I am so excited I cannot even wait!  Ben, if you are reading this, we'll miss you! :)

God has been blessing me with great talks with friends lately and some (unexpected) answers to prayers.  I'm finding that God doesn't always answer my prayers in the way that I would like him to, but it teaches me to be content with whatever is going on.  He is also blessing me with some great opportunities to have some talks with people that have been an encouragement.

I graduate from college in two months.  Two months.  Gosh.  I know it's cliche to say that time has flown by (but actually when I think about it, college has been LONG!)  I am not the same person that I was when I first came here as an 18 year old, scared out of my mind, quiet, shy around all of the new people, unsure of what I wanted to do with my life, wondering if I would meet Christians, make friends, etc... and there has been so much change.  I've learned to be comfortable with change, which is something that I have been encouraging others to do.

Okay well my friend came to say hi so I am going to go.  :)  Happy Spring break everyone! :)

There's something different about this winter.  Not only has it not been as cold as the last, but there has been so much more sunshine!  Usually winter makes me sad because the sun never shines, it's so cold, people are down because of it...but it dawned upon me today that while February is normally dreary, it has not been so this year.

So my friends and I are participating in the 30 Hour Famine to raise money for WorldVision.  We're pretty cool with our "Fast for Food" bracelets!

Just thought I'd share that with you all :)
